Often in these sectors there are very few computers for staff to use for e-learning. So PDAs and sophisticated handsets with multimedia capabilities offer a viable solution.

Tribal CTAD now works with several colleges and workplace providers to bring m-learning to employees in the care, cleaning and logistics sectors. Learners are given PDAs or handsets with relevant content already loaded, for use within a structured, blended learning process. The programmes include face-to-face sessions, phone support, text-based and online tutor support.
