m-learning

Learners of all ages can be excited by m-learning. In ACL, m-learning has proved a useful first step into technology and ICT.

The TrEACL project with Buckinghamshire County Council used PDAs to deliver basic skills and ESOL learning, with an emphasis on hard-to-reach learners. The PDAs were used to provide:

• quizzes
• interactive media-rich content (stored on the PDA)
• a means of accessing the Internet.
  

Tribal CTAD created the training programme, obtained PDAs for the county council and developed bespoke content.
